Throughout our lives we have had the opportunity to test our natural ability through art and music and hopefully crafts of various kinds. Some have more opportunity than others and unfortunately many give up after their first few attempts or negative comments but there is so much we can all do that we have never considered or tried. Even if we know we may be gifted in some area we often never give it a serious thought that we could do something with it that could change lives and generate income at the same time. Now is a good time to think seriously about using your gifts in new ways.
Never in history has there been more ways and places that we can share our talent than on the internet and other media. New talent is discovered every single day on You Tube and other social media and we stand in awe at the abilities of young and old alike. We have a chance to do what we always loved yet probably thought it was reserved for the spare hour or two we could find after working a full time job, taking care of the house and family and doing the must do things.
Do you really want to go to your grave with all that potential lost? If you are like me you probably have lots of unfinished “stuff” including books left to be written, songs left unsung, photos yet to be framed and shared, paintings still sitting on a canvas in the closet, jewelry never assembled or sold, furniture, christmas ornaments, wall hangings, clothing and so many more things left without the opportunity to spark joy in someone else’s life.
Just look around you. What do you see? Tables, chairs, doors, windows, pictures hanging on the wall, and other cool stuff sitting here and there. Look at the patterns on the floor and the color on your walls. What are you wearing, what are you driving, what are you listening to? EVERYTHING around us came from someone’s creative vision that they believed could make the world a better place if only they could make it real.
Everything you love to do creatively has been done by others in a similar capacity yet they are making a living doing it. Why not you? What is that “thing” that is left undone? What would you do with your time if there were no barriers to doing what you love and selling it to support yourself and your family?
Barriers to success usually come in the form of self doubt. We just don’t think we are good enough so we don’t try. Maybe you would need to take a class or polish your craft but why give up before trying? I believe God has given each of us these talents, skills, abilities, passions and opportunities for a purpose and that is to bless someone else.
Fact is, trying to do this alone may leave you frustrated and discouraged. There is a great deal of online competition but there is also tons of help and I would love to see you succeed. Partnering with others who are seeking to do the same thing will lessen the load.
So the question is….would you like to use your creative talents more than you are? Would you like to get paid to create things? What is standing in your way?
Let’s talk. I’d love to help!! check out my events or sign up for a coaching session.
PS
Here are some a couple videos I watched to learn how to do cool painting and just a few of the paintings I did. I also included one of the songs my friend and I sang to bless people across the United States. Not the greatest singer in the world but you don’t need to be the best to make a difference!
