Professionals usually have a lot of people who know them. They don’t want to run into them at a Counselor’s office or an AA or NA meeting so all too often they just don’t go. They feel isolated and alone. Sometimes (too often) they lose their jobs and their families fall apart. They don’t know where to turn so they  just don’t.

Unfortunately for many, getting caught is the first clue that there is a problem but by then a great deal of damage has been done.  Careers may be damaged or completely over. People may have been harmed or even killed like in a drunk driving accident. Relationships suffer and respect is lost.

Facing the addiction demon is the first order of business. Linda has been there. She was able to quit using alcohol and drugs in 1976 but then resumed drinking in 1985 and drank until  1996 when it was brought to her attention that it was affecting her clients.
